What is Arts Award?

Arts Award is a fantastic national qualification which supports young people to develop as artists and arts leaders. It is designed for all young people who enjoy the arts. It doesn't matter who you are, whether or not you've done loads of arty stuff before or fancy trying something for the first time, the Arts Award is for you.

As an Arts Award Centre we offer different strands for young people wishing to work towards an Arts Award. All of our projects can be designed to enable all strands of the Arts Award to be covered, whether taking part in arts activities, visiting arts events or running your own arts activities. We are involved in the mentoring of emerging arts graduates and our work with schools and youth theatres has incorporated skills sharing and peer leaders - even before Arts Award existed!

Arts Award Adviser

Anyone doing their Arts Award is linked to an Adviser. These wonderful individuals will support you through your Arts Award Discover, Explore, Bronze and Silver. Their job is to support you working towards your Arts Award, acting as mentor, facilitator and assessors.

"Very good work mostly based around theatre or dance but with other elements included in terms of heros/heroines. Some of the work could easily have been silver standard and it would be easy for the young people involved to move up to this level"
